Nonprofit Dedicated to Community Support in Laveen

Based in Laveen, the Over the Hill Gang LLC originated in 2013 as a small group of retirees with a tremendous desire to help the community in any way that they could. Initially, the effort was limited to toy drives, holiday dinners, and aid in preparing and distributing food boxes. We still do those things, but since then the effort has grown to include providing scholarships to high school students, recognizing the unsung heroes and heroines in the community, signing up for voter registration, and outreach to local non-profits with a similar mission. We are committed to the task of helping the community to be a healthier and safer place to live. Though many have not heard of us, we have been featured on several occasions in the Arizona Informant Newspaper and can boast that Rod Grimes, a staff photojournalist for the Informant, is an active and engaged “Gang” member. We provide manual and financial assistance to agencies that serve those in need, and we provide financial aid to new and continuing college students.
